Please be aware that no drugs of dependence including benzodiazepines and opiates will be kept onsite at our premises. Our doctors do not routinely prescribe these medications and will never do so on your first visit.

Cancellation

Please be advised that non-attendance without cancellation incurs a $40 fee, payable prior to booking any future appointment. We accept cancellations outside of 2 hours prior to your appointment.

We understand that your time is valuable and that nobody likes waiting on hold. So we encourage online bookings through our Hotdocs link, and any simple, non-urgent inquiries can be submitted through our reception email. Otherwise please be patient and courteous with our friendly reception staff as they endeavour to answer your calls within a timely fashion.

Our doctors each have their own preferences as to how they will manage various results. It is important that you obtain the results of any investigations, including blood tests or imaging, that your doctor has requested. Results will not be given over the phone unless your doctor has specifically arranged to do so. You may be notified of normal test results by text message if you have provided consent to be contacted via SMS. Alternatively, your doctor may ask you to make an appointment to discuss your results and arrange any necessary follow up.

All abnormal results will require an appointment in the clinic or by telehealth to arrange follow up. You will be contacted by our reception team to arrange this. Please ensure that you keep your contact details up to date for this purpose.

Please do not assume that your test results are normal if you have not heard from us. Rarely, an abnormal result may not reach our clinic. If you have not received communication regarding your results within a reasonable time frame – usually 3-5 days from collection – please contact our reception team by phone or email.

With your consent, we may send SMS messages for recalls and reminders to let you know when investigations, appointments and routine cancer screening tests are due.

We have systems to send out automatic reminders for any important or regular appointments or tests you may have due. Please make sure you advise our reception of your consent to receive these reminder messages.

This process is made simple by either filling out the form via our Hotdocs online booking system, or by asking our friendly reception staff for a form to fill in. We then send this to your previous practice to request a relevant summary of your healthcare.

We aim to provide excellent clinical care in a welcoming, calm environment that supports your needs. If there is anything you think we could improve upon, feel free to let us know! You can follow this link or speak to any of our staff. We have brochures for feedback available in the clinic and also have a formal complaints policy and procedure in place should it be required.

Dr Loo is happy to provide personalised advice over the phone after hours (after 5pm weekdays, or weekends or public holidays), however please note that this will incur a fee of $250. If after 11pm any day or if a home visit is required, the fee is $450.

However, we have also partnered with 13SICK who provide after hours medical advice with no out of pocket cost to you as an alternative. 13SICK can be contacted on 13SICK or homedoctor.com.au
