I’m Dr Kim Yap-Weber and have grown up here in the western suburbs of Brisbane and consider myself a local of the area. I graduated from medical school at the University of Queensland in 1991 and did my residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. I then spent several years in Boston and Munich as a research scientist and achieved a doctorate in the field of cell biology.

I returned to Brisbane in 2004 and have worked in general practice ever since. I am particularly interested in the management of all mental health conditions, chronic disease and women’s health. I enjoy all aspects of General Practice, but most of all I value getting to know and caring for my patients.

Outside of work, I like being active, reading, spending time with family and friends and I consider myself a real dog lover.
