Hi, I’m Dr Liz LaMont and I first moved to Australia in 2005 on a research scholarship at the University of Newcastle. I then returned to my hometown of New York City for Medical school at New York University School of Medicine, before making the official move to Australia in 2012. I continued my medical training in Townsville and Canberra and completed my General Practice training in rural NSW.
I absolutely love being a GP because of the relationships I am privileged to develop with my patients. I care deeply about providing holistic, long-term care and have a particular interest in Palliative Care, Women’s Health, Adolescent Health, Sexual Health, and Paediatrics.
Outside of work, I will be busy enjoying the warm Queensland weather after a long stint down in ACT and trying to keep up with my two young children.
