Behavioural assessments, ADHD and Autism

Primary care providers often have a long-term relationship with their patients and families and are uniquely positioned to identify symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other associated conditions.

More than 60% of ADHD patients have at least one other condition, such as autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety or disordered sleep – having a trusted primary care clinic that can provide ongoing support and be a central coordinator for multidisciplinary care, is very important.

We have formed a collaborative care approach with some of Brisbane’s best paediatricians, psychiatrists and allied health providers and have developed a new neurodivergence assessment and management service for ADHD and Autism. With recent changes to legislation – we are grateful we can also now extend this service to adult patients.

We offer an expedited assessment and management pathway for children and adults that includes:

• ADOS-2 assessment for Autism
• Anxiety assessments
• Management strategies and support
• Psychologist support
• Occupational therapy
• Dietician support
• Expedited assessment and management pathway

We work closely with schools to help support our pediatric patients and with external psychiatrists and developmental paediatricians in a collaborative care approach to best support our patients.
