Your children are your joy and we understand that their wellbeing is your top priority.
A parent’s intuition is most often correct and no-one understands your child like you do. That’s why, at Generations Medical, we listen closely to your concerns and give you the best advice we can about your child’s health.
We like to check your child’s health and development at regular intervals, usually at one to two weeks, six weeks, four months, six months, 12 months, 18 months, and four years of age. These checkups allow us to check on your child’s health, development and wellbeing, administer routine vaccinations, and discuss any concerns you may have. We can also provide early referrals to services such as paediatrics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or dietetics if there are any concerns about your child’s health or development. Evidence shows that early intervention can greatly assist children in their development.
Injuries and illness will happen and most children will recover quickly without any help from us. However, should they need it, our GPs are here to support you with diagnosis, medical advice, and any treatments that may be required to help your child get back to their best.
As they grow into their teenage years, they will learn and change in varying ways. At Generations Medical we are happy to assist during these times. No problem is too small and every presentation presents an opportunity for your teen to learn from a trusted source. Our team already engages with local schools to provide educational talks, and we are exceptionally skilled with managing all varieties of physical and mental ailments.
We are proud to announce that we have formed a collaborative approach with some of Brisbane’s best paediatricians and allied health to provide a new neurodivergence assessment service. With this we aim to provide a quality assessment service particularly for ADHD and ASD, which minimises the number of appointments required for children and teens to be seen, assessed, and provided with a management and education plan, as well as dramatically reducing the time frame required for this process. We will also assist with the workload of organising and booking appointments with the people we refer you to. We are excited to offer this service, to provide excellence in diagnosis and management, as well as streamlining the whole process to help your children to achieve their full potential.
